Week of 11.12 - 11.16
For my research this week, I focused on connecting my knowledge of economics and its role in finance and accounting. We had a lot of work days in ism this week and I spent most of my time reformatting some of my assessments to match the ones from last year because I am thinking of continuing my portfolio. Other then that, this week was very heavy on tests and quizzes mixed in with college applications and so I did focus a little more on that, but once I get back from break, I won’t have as much stress and work from college applications.
Week of 11.26 - 11.30
This week, I focused on building up as much research as I could to prepare myself for winter showcase. Mr. Pirtle went over this event and the preparation that is to come in the next few weeks. I have a super fun idea for my board, but it is going to take me some time and so I want to make sure to start early. In class, we watched this TedTalk that really had me listening. The main idea of the video was to be kind to everyone and that at the end of the day the one person that needs to believe in you, is you. I have had my own set of times when I really had little self confidence because of what I saw others do around me and I felt the video was very relatable. I am still waiting on a reply from my professional. I will email her once again this coming week.
Reflection:
Overall, I feel everything is happening so quickly. Winter showcase preparation is due in two weeks and then we’re halfway done with ISM 2 and senior year. I feel I am not taking the initiative to email back my professional. I will for sure this coming week if she doesn’t respond. Furthermore, I think I am really going to like this new topic because every aspect I have researched so far fits perfectly into my interests. Now the college applications are done, I can focus my time on ISM and really make this last year count.
