Jena Pendleton
Ms. Pendleton is a Business Systems Manager at the National Breast Cancer Foundation. As a Business Systems Manager, she manages the various existing systems while also overseeing the selection and implementation processes of any new system. Additionally, she oversees the IT services and consultants at the NBCF. She completed her education through Baylor University graduating with a bachelor’s degree in Economics and International Business. And currently has been a part of the NBCF for a little more than three years.
Kimberly Grimes
Mrs. Grimes is the Director of Finance and Accounting at the National Breast Cancer Foundation. As the Director of Finance and Accounting, she oversees the day-to-day operations within accounting which includes revenue tracking, accounts receivables, accounts payable, travel expenses, and also, managing cash in bank. Additionally, she is responsible for providing yearly financial data for board meetings for which she also does budgeting and forecasting. She completed her education through Northwestern State University in Louisiana graduating with a bachelor’s degree in Accounting and currently has been a part of the NBCF for seven years. She has a total of 23 years of experience in her field.
The NBCF is a non-profit organization that works to help women around the world by educating them about breast cancer and providing donations to fulfill any medical procedures to assist the individual. It consists of an experienced and dedicated staff, ranging from Human Resources to Financial Managers to Business Systems Manager, who all work together to expand the organization.
Of the numerous professionals I interviewed, I found Mrs. Grimes to be extremely passionate, knowledgeable, and relatable. Speaking with her made me realize the many similarities I have with her from hobbies to work interests. Additionally, her role with Finance and Accounting within a nonprofit business is something that I have found incredibly interesting. Mrs. Grimes is an incredible mentor and I am lucky to have received the opportunity to have her as my mentor. I look forward to the unique opportunities that I will experience.
